HOW WE HELP
Educational Support
Every child has the right to education, regardless of ability. At NFT, we support pupils and students with disabilities by helping them access and stay in school—through school fee assistance, essential learning materials, and enrolment support.
How we help
Life skills & Economic Empowerment
In an economy where livelihoods often depend on individual initiative, we support young people with disabilities and their caregivers to build sustainable futures. NFT provides start-up capital to help them launch small businesses and generate income.
Training and Development
We capacitate communities, PWDs and caregivers with a life skills programme. We take advantage of our strategic partnerships and offer these trainings that range,but are not limited to, disability sensitisation, teaching sign language, and dish-washer as well as soap making….
Care & Health management services
There are many challenges that are faced by PWDs in accessing health-care services, including travelling from home to a nearby clinic/hospital and communication barriers between health care givers and patients with disabilities…
Advocacy & lobbying
We advocate for the upholding of the rights of PWDs. We also lobby for policy changes for the betterment of PWDs’ lives from the community level to national level to national level….
Psycho Social Support
Most PWDs face different challenges in Families, at School, at Church, in Society and other areas where they might go. These challenges range but are not limited to: discrimination, bullying, abuse of their human rights and linguistic human rights…

Research
At Nkonwa Foundation Trust (NFT), we don’t assume the needs of our beneficiaries. To ensure our interventions are truly impactful, we actively leave our offices to engage with communities directly. Through hands-on research and participation, we gather insights that guide and shape our programs, ensuring they address the real needs of those we serve.
