DAY 1-CHILD PROTECTION SERVICE FAIR
NKomwa Foundation Trust (NFT) participated in the Child Protection Service Fair held at Shake Business Centre in Gwanda District.

The fair brought together key district stakeholders — including the District Development Coordinator’s Office, Department of Social Development, the Ministry of Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises Development, the Ministry of Youth, the Ministry of Health and Child Care, World Vision, the Registry Department, One Stop Centre, Insiza Godlwayo Aid Council, Community Youth Development Trust, Bantwana Zimbabwe and Contact Family — all united by one goal: taking essential services directly to the people.

For NFT, this was more than just attendance. As an organisation that champions the rights, inclusion and empowerment of persons with disabilities, our participation was critical in ensuring that children with disabilities and their families are not left behind in child protection conversations and services.

Children with disabilities often face heightened vulnerability — from limited access to healthcare and education to increased risk of abuse and neglect.
True child protection means protecting all children. NFT remains committed to building inclusive communities where every child — especially those with disabilities — is seen, heard and supported.
