INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY -2026
Today, March 8, the world marks International Women’s Day, a day dedicated to celebrating the achievements, resilience and contributions of women across the globe.
@Nkomwa Foundation Trust (NFT), we join the international community in commemorating this important day under the 2026 theme: “Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL Women and Girls.”
This year’s theme reminds us that gender equality cannot be fully achieved without inclusive action that recognizes and protects the rights of women and girls with disabilities.
As an organisation that advocates for the rights and inclusion of persons with disabilities, NFT reaffirms its commitment to promoting equal opportunities, dignity, and safety for women and girls with disabilities.
We believe that true justice means ensuring accessibility, strengthening legal protections, and creating spaces where every woman—regardless of ability—can participate fully in society.
Today we celebrate the strength, courage and leadership of women with disabilities who continue to break barriers and inspire change in their families, communities and workplaces.
